Tidal volume Dr. Artour Rakhimov

Tidal volume

Normal tidal volume, average tidal volume, tidal volume in adults

Tidal volume (sometimes known as "Vt") is measured as the air volume breathed in during a single inhalation or exhalation from the lungs. In other words, tidal volume is a difference between volumes after a normal inhalation and a normal exhalation.

Normal tidal volume in adults at rest is about 500-600 ml or 17-20 oz of air. Most people breathe deeper and faster than these medical norms. As a result, they have reduced body oxygen levels.

The normal tidal volume numbers are much smaller in newborn, toddlers, infants, and children, down to about 100-150 ml due to smaller lungs.

Medical research suggests there is some correlation between tidal volume and health. It is common that, with development of chronic diseases, such as heart disease, cancer, asthma, COPD, diabetes, HIV-AIDS, and many others, tidal volume becomes larger. The same is true about breathing frequency. Sick people breathe faster and with greatly increased minute volumes at rest.

You can find more facts related to minute ventilation, respiratory rates, and get an idea about tidal volume in healthy people and people with cancer, heart disease, asthma, COPD, lung disease, diabetes, and many other conditions on pages of NormalBreathing.com.

Another webpage with this URL: tidal volume - http://www.e-breathing.com/respiration/tidal-volume/ provides some extra details and a chart related to medical norms and values for tidal volume in people with symptoms and health problems.

Here is a medical source of info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tidal_volume

Normal values for tidal volume:
- during exercise: about 2 L
- pranayama: 3-4 L (close to maximum inhalation and exhalation in the lungs)
- firebreath (hatha yoga exercise): 150-200 mL if this yoga exercise is done correctly.

How to Fall Asleep Fast (Easy Breathing Exercise) Artour Rakhimov

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeWMnTM9VbA

This "How to Fall Asleep Fast" provides a simple breathing exercise (natural home remedy) how to get to sleep quickly using the legendaryButeyko method.

Problems with falling asleep quickly and insomnia are due to overexcited nerve cells caused by too low CO2 levels in the brain cells. Low CO2 is common in modern people as this YouTube video shows. The main cause of reduced CO2 levels in the brain and body cells is breathing excessive amount of air that causes problems with sleep. Hyperventilation causes numerous other health problems including bronchospasm, constriction of arteries and arterioles, suppressed immunity, generations of free radicals, muscle tension, chronic fatigue, and advance of chronic diseases.

Hyperventilation (overbreathing) is very common in modern people and tens of studies have found (see the chart at the start of this video). Overbreathing is also common in people with chronic diseases (cancer, asthma, heart disease, diabetes, extra weight, etc.) who are also trying to solve this problem: how to fall asleep fast.

This breathing exercise "how to fall asleep fast" is a great home remedy. It is also known as reduced or shallow breathing and it increases body oxygen levels. The same breathing exercise was used for the best ever known clinical trial on cancer, and 6 most effective trials on asthma.

The exercise is useful for people with poor sleep and insomnia and anyone who wants to fall asleep sooner while using natural tricks and tips. This method or home remedy is more effective than typical advice provided by HowCast.

Instead of a large deep inhalation as in people with insomnia, it is suggested to take a little less air for usual inhalations, and relax all body muscles for exhalations. Breathing little less air has numerous benefits for the brain and body. It creates light air hunger and promotes increased CO2 levels in the lungs and, for most people, in the arterial blood. As a result, normalization of CO2 causes vasodilation and increased Bohr effect that promote better O2 transport. In addition, CO2 calm down nerve cells and help to fall asleep much faster.

Crohns Disease and Colitis Recovery Guide (IBD Treatment and Cure) Artour Rakhimov

Crohn's Disease and Colitis Recovery Guide (IBD Treatment and Cure)

IBD (inflammatory bowel disease): Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
http://www.amazon.com/Disease-Colitis-Recovery-Ulcerative-ebook/dp/B00FP5BD2O/

People with IBD experience digestive dysbiosis with pathological microbial films on the linings of the large and small colons with following symptoms:
- a heavy yellow or whsite coating on the tongue
- frequent urination and reduced urinary volumes (less than 300 ml instead of normal 1 l) due to chronic inflammation
- flatulence, burping, ear buzzing, and offensive fecal smell
- use of large amounts of toilet paper due to excessive soiling.

While monitoring these and other symptoms of abnormal digestion, a person can find out and address those triggers that cause dysbiosis.

Common hidden triggers of Crohn's disease and colitis include:
- tap water, most types of bottled and mineral water
- poor posture (including slouching and bending forward)
- certain types of physical exercise that cause tension in abdominal muscles triggering acute digestive flare-ups
- some sleeping positions
- non organic foods
- other chemical triggers that include essential oils (in chewing gums and toothpastes) and acids.

These triggers are analyzed in detail in the first Amazon book of this series with the title "Crohn's Disease and Colitis: HiddenTriggers and Symptoms": http://www.amazon.com/Crohns-Disease-Colitis-Ulcerative-ebook/dp/B009SACFJ2/
More details about this book can also be found here: http://www.normalbreathing.com/crohns-ulcerative-colitis-diet.php/.

This 2nd book “Crohn's Disease and Colitis Recovery Guide” is based on the goal to achieve certain clear and specific signs of normal (or ideal) digestive health.

Such signs of a clean gut are virtually never mentioned in the medical literature or sources and books related to alternative medicine.

This 2nd book focuses on a detailed treatment guide for people with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis with the following goals:
- normalization of the GI flora and natural elimination of biofilms and inflammation
- achievement of a clean tongue (without any thick coating)
- an ability to hold up to 1 liter (4.2 cups) of urine in the urinary bladder
- elimination of flatulence, burping, ear buzzing, and offensive fecal smell
- achievement of no soiling (i.e., no residue is left on the anus after a bowel movement) and regular bowel movements without marks on the toilet bowl.

Gradual achievement of these goals requires numerous lifestyle changes that relate to diet, chewing, posture, physical exercise, sleep, thermoregulation, breathing patterns, and avoidance of all triggers.

With this treatment guide and avoidance of triggers, most people with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis can achieve no soiling (no need for toilet paper) in a few days and clinical remission in 1-2 months.

Sleep Better and Less - Naturally, Cure Chronic Insomnia (Book Trailer) Artour Rakhimov

The book “Sleep Better and Less – Naturally” describes sleep factors for the breathing technique used for the best ever known clinical trials on metastatic cancer and asthma.
The name of this legendary technique is the Buteyko breathing method. It includes breathing exercises, physical exercises, and lifestyle changes.
The Buteyko breathing method is based on the idea that slower and lighter breathing at rest increases O2 in cells, and improves health and quality of sleep curing chronic insomnia.
Here are the major clinical findings related to this new effortless sleep method that has been tested on 1,000′s of patients who cured their chronic insomnia:
Severely sick and hospitalized people
* Respiratory frequency during sleep: more than 26 breaths per minute
* Body oxygenation: less than 10 seconds
* Duration of sleep: often more than 10 hours
* Very poor sleep quality, likely chronic insomnia.
Majority of modern people
* Respiratory frequency during sleep: 15-26 breaths per minute
* Body oxygenation: 10-25 seconds
* Duration of sleep: usually more than 7 hours
* Poor sleep quality.
Healthy people (medical norms for breathing)
* Respiratory frequency during sleep: 10-12 breaths per minute
* Body oxygenation: 40 seconds
* Duration of sleep: about 6 hours
* Good quality of sleep, chronic insomnia cured.
People in super health states
* Respiratory frequency during sleep: 3-5 breaths per minute
* Body oxygenation: 2-3 minutes
* Duration of sleep: 2-3 hours (naturally and without trying)
* Ideal effortless sleep.
Hundreds of modern books promote a fable that the human body and mind recover at rest and especially during sleep.
However, dozens of clinical studies proved that chances of acute attacks and mortality rates are highest during sleep, from 4 to 7 am.
This relates to exacerbations and deaths due to heart attacks, strokes, seizures, asthma attacks and many other acute health problems.
This book provides a systematic analysis of sleep factors based on medical experience of more than 160 Soviet and Russian Buteyko doctors.
You can eat tons of supplements and super foods, drink canisters of super drinks, have 100′s of colonic irrigations, and practice yoga for hours every day,
But, if your breathing remains unchanged, your symptoms, chronic insomnia, and other health problems will likely to remain unchanged too.
The book “Sleep Better and Less – Naturally” by Dr. Artour Rakhimov can be found in Kindle and paperback formats on Amazon.com. The Amazon paperback version can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/Sleep-Better-Less-Naturally-Body-Brain/dp/1492921076/ – Sleep Better and Less.

High Altitude Training vs. Training Mask 2.0 (Sports Performance) Dr. Artour Rakhimov

Hypoxic training for effects of high altitude – High elevation and sports performance

How to train and run for max sports benefits and improved endurance?
Dr. Artour Rakhimov, health educator, writer, breathing teacher and trainer, speaks about high altitude running vs. training with Elevation Mask 2.0.
In order to get the most benefits of high altitude training, a person can go to high altitude and train there or do endurance exercise at the sea level.
High altitude helps to improve sports performance and increase VO2max. The positive effects on endurance are particularly strong after the first trip (that should be about 2-3 weeks long).
However, repeated trips have less strong effect due to reduced physiological abilities to adapt to one stimulus only: low oxygen levels (or hypoxia) that is present in air at high altitude. It is more beneficial, from physiology viewpoint, to adapt to higher CO2 in the inhaled air as well.

Better than high altitude training?

This drawback of high altitude training (hypoxic stimulus only) can be solved with Training Mask that reduces O2 content in the inspired air (due to added resistance), but also increases CO2 content in the lungs and body cells providing hypercapnic training to boost endurance.

Cystic Fibrosis Life Expectancy: 30, 50, 70... - Trailer Artour Rakhimov

Artour Rakhimov Cystic Fibrosis Life Expectancy: 30, 50, 70… – Trailer

Keywords: Cystic Fibrosis Treatment, Cystic Fibrosis Therapies, Cure Cystic Fibrosis
http://www.amazon.com/Cystic-Fibrosis-Life-Expectancy-ebook/dp/B00793UMNQ/
The book “Cystic Fibrosis Life Expectancy: 30, 50, 70…” describes a clinical therapy, cystic fibrosis pathophysiology, and treatment successfully used by more than 150 Soviet and Russian doctors on people with cystic fibrosis.
While treating their patients, these doctors applied the breathing technique used for the best ever known clinical trials on metastatic cancer and asthma.
The name of this legendary technique is the Buteyko breathing method. It includes breathing exercises, physical exercises, and lifestyle changes.
This therapy is based on the DIY body oxygen test, and the goal of the therapy is to increase body oxygenation up to the medical norm (40 seconds).
These Soviet and Russian doctors discovered that stages and symptoms of cystic fibrosis have a strong correlation with body O2 levels.
* More than 40 seconds for body oxygenation: Absence of common digestive, respiratory and other symptoms of cystic fibrosis.
* Less than 30 seconds: Appearance and dominance of pathogens in the GI tract with light symptoms in pulmonary and hormonal areas.
* Less than 20 s: Chronic cell hypoxia, suppression of the immune system, serious respiratory and digestive symptoms with chronic inflammation.
* Less than 10 s: The last stage of CF with critically low CO2 levels in airways causing progressive involvement of the respiratory system and the end-stage lung disease.
These observations helped Soviet and Russian MDs to develop a method how to reverse the usual dynamic and successfully eliminate major symptoms of CF, including cystic fibrosis carrier nasal polyps.
The therapy has been successfully tested on hundreds of people with cystic fibrosis who slowed down their breathing back to the medical norm (real stories).
The book does not provide details of the Buteyko breathing exercises that can be found in the book “Advanced Buteyko Breathing Exercises”.
The book offers a description of major lifestyle modules to increase body O2 naturally, as well as specific techniques that are crucial for people with cystic fibrosis.

Elevation Training Mask 2.0 Review (For Sports, Running, VO2max, Fitness and Health) Artour Rakhimov

Elevation Training Mask 2.0 Review by Dr. Artour Rakhimov, an individual coach of 2 World Champions

For more detailed analysis of this training and running mask, visit http://www.normalbreathing.com/d/training-mask.php.
The Elevation Training Mask 2.0 is a breathing device mainly used by professional athletes to improve fitness and sport performance.
Training Mask 1.0 is similar to military gas masks. Version 2.0 or Elevation Training Mask 2.0 does not restrict eye vision.
The Training Mask can be continuously used during different types of physical exercise by people who like running, or practice yoga, martial arts, mountain climbing, extreme sports, and so on.
Is it similar to UltraBreathe, Expand-a-Lung, and some other respiratory devices used by athletes and exercising people for sports and running?
It is different since one can use the Training Mask continuously during exercise for up to 1-2 hours per day or even more than that.
Training Mask reduces minute ventilation (volume of breathing) during exercise. This means that the body adapts to higher CO2 levels, and this makes breathing slower and easier during and after physical exercise.
As a result of adaptation to slower and easier breathing during exercise and at rest, the person experiences dramatic positive effects related to shorter and more refreshing sleep, faster and better digestion, greatly amplified energy levels, and many others.
The video features Dr. Artour Rakhimov, health educator, writer, breathing teacher and trainer, a coach of 2 World Champions, and the author of the website NormalBreathing.com.

Normal Respiratory Rate -- Respiration or Breathing Frequency Artour Rakhimov

Normal Respiratory Rate — Respiration-Breathing Frequency

Respiratory rate (respiration rate, breathing frequency, breathing rate, ventilation rate, pulmonary ventilation rate, and respiratory frequency) is the number of breaths that a person takes during one minute. The normal value for an adult is 10-12 breaths per minute at rest.
Medical research suggests breathing frequency is the indicator of pulmonary problems that get progressively worse with progress of chronic health conditions, such as heart disease, asthma, COPD, diabetes, HIV-AIDS, cancer, and cystic fibrosis.
You can find more facts related to respiratory rates for adults with cancer patients, cystic fibrosis, heart disease, asthma, diabetes, COPD and many other conditions on pages of NormalBreathing.com.
Medical textbooks suggest that the normal respiratory rate for adults at rest is only 10-12 breaths per minute. Older physiology textbooks often provide even smaller values (e.g., 8-10 breaths per minute), while more recent textbooks can give up to 15-18 breaths per minute.
Most modern adults breathe much faster (about 15-20 breaths per minute) than their normal respiration rate. Respiratory rates in people with chronic diseases are usually higher: often nearly 20 breaths/min or even higher.
NormalBreathing.com has numerous medical studies that testify that respiratory rates in terminally sick people with cancer, HIV-AIDS, cystic fibrosis and other conditions is usually over 30 breaths/min.
Another webpage with this URL: http://www.e-breathing.com/respiration/normal-respiratory-rate/ also provides details related to medical norms and values for breathing frequency in people with chronic health problems.

Breathing rate norms

Normal values for respiratory rate:
- during exercise: 50-60 breaths/min
- pranayama: 0.5-3 breaths per minute
- firebreath (hatha yoga exercise): 100-120 breaths/min.
Normal respiration rates in children
- Newborns and infants (up to 6 months old): 30-60 breaths/min
- Infants (6 to 12 months old): 24-30 breaths/min
- Toddlers and children (1 to 5 years old): 20-30 breaths/min
- Children (6 to 12 years): 12-20 breaths/min.
Charts and graphs of breathing patterns, minute ventilation and results of the body oxygen test (Buteyko CP test) can be found on this page: http://www.normalbreathing.com/index-rate.phpand the link provided above.
