How to improve cardiovascular endurance and increase VO2max naturally - Interview with Dr. Artour Rakhimov

Breathing information and the use of body-oxygen levels for increased VO2max, better cardiovascular endurance and improved oxygen delivery to body cells during physical exercise. This video is for motivated athletes and even professionals in long distance running, marathon triathlon cross country skiing, orienteering, cycling, and so forth. This same information is helpful for COPD, cancer, HIV-AIDS, diabetes, asthma, heart disease, cystic fibrosis and many other health problems. In this video, Dr. Artour Rakhimov addresses the question, “How to improve cardiovascular endurance and VO2max naturally?”. More info with Tables and images can be found here:
http://www.normalbreathing.com/cardiovascular-endurance.php . The Spanish version of this page is “Resistencia Cardiovascular y Cómo Mejorar la Entrega de O2 - Mejorando la Resistencia Física” http://www.respiracionnormal.org/ejercicio-fisico/ .

Dr. Artour Rakhimov's method to improve cardiovascular endurance is to change unconscious breathing patterns throughout the day and night. He will go into detail about how people that have poor health or chronic health problems will have problems with exercising. An important factor that shows this correlation is the quantity of people's breath per minute. The medical norm for breathing at rest is 6 litres per minute. This is a very small amount and there would be barely any noticeable bodily movements when breathing. On the Normalbreathing.com homepage, it shows sick people breathe 2.5 times more than the medical norm or 15 litres per minute. This is a significant difference in air quantity and the type of health these people experience.

People that breathe a lot less than the medical norm have about 60 seconds for the body-oxygen test. Due to their unconscious and light breathing patterns, they have a lot more oxygen in their body. This means a lot more energy and a higher capacity to do intensive physical exercise. Also, they naturally breathe with their nose even during intensive exercise. Additionally, they sleep around 4 hours or less. There are many other associated health benefits for having such a high level for the body-oxygen test.

Sick people have around 12 seconds for the body-oxygen test. When they exercise they breathe with their mouth and have other problems. In turn, mouth breathing has drastic effects on body oxygen levels. If these individuals engage in light jogging, they need to use about 10 times more energy and oxygen than at rest. Also, they receive more CO2 in the body at this time. Furthermore, minute ventilation will be increased about 10 times.

A regular person will breathe about 60 liters per minute when exercising. During exercise, their breathing will get slightly louder. Sick people breathe about 15 liters per minute at rest. While they breathe about 10 times more when exercising and that is about 150 liters per minute. This is the maximum a person can breathe. This rate dramatically reduces their ability to physically exercise. In order to improve endurance, breathing patterns from the whole day should be examined.

Breathing exercises used by Dr. Artour Rakhimov include the Buteyko breathing technique. Dr. Buteyko was a leading Soviet physiologist. In the early 1960's, he achieved the position as the Manager of the Respiratory Laboratory created for classified scientific research for the Soviet Cosmos and the first outer space missions (which had the 1964 flight of Yury Gagarin, the first man in space).

The Buteyko Method has been applied by medical doctors on more than 100,000 asthmatics, over 30,000 people with cardiovascular issues and thousands of patients with other conditions (diabetes, cancer, bronchitis, sleep apnea, HIV-AIDS, liver cirrhosis and more). Dr. Buteyko would instruct sick patients to do up to 2 to 3 hours of daily breath work. There are now many professional athletes in triathlon, cross country skiing, long distance running, marathon, orienteering, and cycling who benefited from the Buteyko method. How to Tape Mouth for Good Night Sleep: Prevent Nocturnal Oral Breathing Artour Rakhimov

In this video, Dr. Artour Rakhimov and Volker Schmitz discuss how to tape mouth taping before sleep for having taped lips the whole night to prevent nocturnal oral breathing and keep the lips and mouth closed.

Dr. Artour Rakhimov, Buteyko Breathing expert, and Volker Schmitz, Buteyko teacher, discuss how mouth taping can help people reduce heavy breathing while sleeping patterns. Russian physician, Dr. Buteyko, discovered that heavy breathing at night exacerbates chronic health conditions. Night-time breathing is important because many disease conditions manifest when sleeping.

Volker demonstrates how to place the tape on the mouth to prevent mouth breathing at night. Volker demonstrates the vertical, horizontal, and side taping positions across the mouth. Dr. Artour talks about how some people are afraid to tape their mouths; however, it has been proven effective and safe.

Dr. Artour and Volker both agree that if one wakes up with a dry mouth in the morning, then mouth taping can be an ingenious solution to keeping one’s mouth closed while sleeping. Heavy breathing is less likely to happen during sleep when one’s mouth is closed.

There is one technique that is utilized during sleep in the breathing retraining course.  That technique is mouth taping.  When people snore at night, their mouth opens.  This is one of the two central factors that leads to high mortality and poor health.  This contributes to very low morning control pause numbers or the morning body-oxygen test.  Students that breathe through their mouths have their body-oxygen numbers drop significantly overnight.  Early morning hours is when people have attacks of strokes, epilepsy, asthma, COPD, the heart and people have the highest mortality at this time.

There are two practical steps that people need to improve respiration.  They are posture and the way they breathe through the mouth or nose during the night.  Dr. Rakhimov has several recent videos related to posture on his YouTube channel.  These included what positions are the best: left, right, supine, sitting, on the chest and so forth.  The topic of breathing through the mouth vs the nose is going to be expanded on now.

Thousands of students use this mouth taping technique with amazing results. More details are here: http://www.normalbreathing.com/l-mouth-taping.php . The Spanish verwsion of this page is “Cómo dormir con su boca cerrada: tápela durante la noche” - http://www.respiracionnormal.org/tapando-su-boca/ .

About 80 to 90 percent of the people that perform this technique will notice a huge difference in how they feel in the morning.  It is very inexpensive to purchase the tape needed.  In this video, a broad type of mouth tape is shown.  Ordinary surgical tape (3M) from a pharmacy can be used.  About 5 to 6 centimetres of tape is required over the mouth.  If you are scared to totally close your mouth, you can apply tape on half of the mouth.  It is even possible to apply the tape if you have a beard.  You can use some vaseline, cream or oil to make it easier to take off if the tape is very sticky.  There is a survey of about 5,000 cases of individuals that used mouth taping.  Only 1 or 2 individuals had minor problems because they had very sticky tape and in the morning they had some bleeding.  Volker and Dr. Rakhimov recommend experimenting with different tapes to get one that is most suitable for yourself.

How can people over time stop the need for mouth taping?  Mouth taping can look weird and most people prefer to just use it for about a few months.  When people change their breathing patterns 24/7, the number one cause of snoring, they will not need to use mouth taping to keep the lips closed.  Mouth sealing with a surgical tape is a short-term solution for snoring.  Our body-oxygen test can be measured with a simple DIY test.  People that snore have less than 20 seconds for the test.  When people breathe through their nose at night, their morning control pause test will be better.   At about 25 seconds for the test, no more mouth taping is required for the test.  Some people that have improved their body-oxygen test still use the tape for specific situations.  When people drink alcohol, this makes them breathe with their mouth at night to keep the mouth closed.  They will use mouth taping for these specific nights.  This is not ideal as alcohol also lowers body-oxygen levels.  Additionally, people that eat a meal very late at night will use mouth taping.

The video features Volker Schmitz and Dr. Artour Rakhimov. Volker is a Buteyko teacher and NormalBreathing practitioner at AtmungNormal.com. Dr. Artour is an Amazon writer, health educator, Buteyko breathing practitioner trainer, and the author and creator of www.NormalBreathing.com.

Dr. Artour Rakhimov is the author of 9 Amazon books. He is a breathing retraining teacher and practitioner. Volker Schmitz is Dr. Artour Rakhimov's student, friend and he is also a breathing practitioner teacher. Dr. Artour Rakhimov has lived in Toronto Canada for 20 years. Volker has been teaching Qi Gong and Tai Chi to groups of students for over 15 years. Also, he is currently teaching breathing retraining. This video is an introduction to a variety of topics related to breathing retraining. Among theses topics, Dr. Artour Rakhimov and Volker are going to explain and demystify about how we change our breathing patterns. Also, they discuss how this helps many serious health conditions and more simple problems. They will discuss their own experience and cases when working with students.

Volker asks Dr. Artour Rakhimov “Can you explain why you got interested in breathing”? Dr. Rakhimov previously addressed this question in his videos with Chris Prokop. They are available on Dr. Artour Rakhimov's YouTube channel. He explained his personal experience. Breathing retraining helped to solve his health problems that included blood sugar problems and sinusitis. These are included in the video, Improve blood glucose control (reactive hyper-hypoglycemia) and Sinusitis cured with Buteyko breathing retraining. Dr. Artour Rakhimov discovered that there were breathing retraining teachers all over the world, but they could not understand Russian. 200 hundred medical doctors were taught breathing retraining by Dr. Buteyko in Russia. They accumulated lots of clinical experience and lots of successful clinical trials for cancer. In the former Soviet Union, breathing retraining was tried on a very professional level. These details will also be expanded on in this video series.

Breathing exercises that are a part of Dr. Artour Rakhimov's courses include the Buteyko breathing technique for students and practitioner training. Dr. Buteyko was the leading breathing retraining teacher in teaching medical doctors in the Soviet Union. Also, he was a significant physiologist. Treat and cure hypothyroidism naturally with Buteyko method and breathing retraining Artour Rakhimov

Treat and cure hypothyroidism naturally with Buteyko method and breathing retraining

In this video, Volker and Dr. Artour Rakhimov will be discussing causes and treatment of hypothyroidism  naturally. They will expand about how their students had this condition and their experiences. When going through a breathing retraining course, they would reduce their medications. During this time Volker recommended to his students that they are periodically checked with medical doctors as well. When students would reduce their medications, it would provide them with more motivation.

Volker had a case where a doctor told one of his students that his thyroid gland is almost dead. After going through the breathing retraining course, the student;s thyroid glands were working much better.

Dr. Artour Rakhimov's experience with students taking various medications for hypothyroidism was that they would only need them in the beginning stages. Using medications was to still have the energy to function.

All students that are able to improve their body-oxygen levels they will all be able to recover from hypothyroidism. This is coming from both Volker and Dr. Artour Rakhimov's experiences with their students. Dr. Artour Rakhimov has 15 years of experience with students successfully recovering from this condition. Usually, students start with 10 to 15 seconds for the body-oxygen test. When students progress to X seconds they do not use medications any longer.

This web hypothyroidism page provides more details about number X to treat hypothyroidism naturally: http://www.normalbreathing.com/hypothyroidism-treat-causes.php .

Breathing retraining requires periodic check-ups with doctors because when the health of students improves they might have adverse effects from their medication. Doctors will measure t4thyroidal hormone and other hormones. The dose of their medicine might be needed to be reduced. The student's amount of energy levels might become too high if their medication is not reduced. That relates to other hormonal conditions such as involving insulin for diabetes or cortisol for people with excessive inflammation. For overview of effects of breathing retraining on hormonal diseases, see http://www.normalbreathing.com/practice-clinical-3-hormonal.php .

The most important part to improve their body-oxygen level requires them to practice 6 to 8 weeks of breathing retraining. Or it might require students to reduce their medications by about half of their dose. This would be required to increase their motivation. For some students, it might be a lot longer depending on other health problems they are facing. Also, their recovery depends on how much time they devote to their daily Buteyko breathing exercises or Frolov device sessions.

The great news is that hypothyroidism is a relatively easy condition to recover from with breathing retraining. Everybody who achieved 60 seconds on the body-oxygen test became free from medication. From a doctor's paradigm, this recovery is really hard to explain. If you are interested in learning about a breathing retraining course visit Normalbreathing.com.

Heavy metal and gut detox with ... sweating – Interview with Dr. Artour Rakhimov Artour Rakhimov

In this video, Dr. Artour Rakhimov addresses the question, “How to use sweating for body-gut detox?”. Sweating is very effective for this type of detox. It detoxes mercury, lead, aluminium (not a heavy metal) and other heavy metal from the body. You can use a sauna and steam bath for sweating. A sauna would be a better option. It takes most people about 20 minutes to sweat in the sauna. There is even a better technique to sweat, specifically physical exercise with 100 % nasal breathing. It helps blood flow and body-oxygen test results.

Physical exercise used for sweating is many times more effective and concentrated. It is possible to combine using the sauna and exercise, such as in hot yoga. Historically, yoga was much different than most yoga taught today. Instead of an emphasis on stretching, there were more breathing exercises taking place. Dr. Artour Rakhimov has a book on amazon titled, yoga benefits are in breathing less. In it, he explains ancient Sanskrit texts and the process of improving body oxygen levels.

There are 3 techniques we can use to sweat and detoxify. They are using the sauna alone, using physical exercise (you can wear a sweater to increase sweating), and the third method combines the first two. Engaging in physical exercise in the sauna greatly decreases the time when perspiration is produced by about 2 to 3 times greatly assisting detoxing from mercury and aluminum as well as cadmium and strontium metals.

Dr. Artour Rakhimov's best students that practised for 2 to 3 hours of breathing exercises daily, plus additional physical exercise of 1 to 2 hours daily, quickly improved their body oxygen levels. Most people that improve their body-oxygen test levels quickly experience detoxification from mercury and aluminum, together with cadmium and strontium heavy metals. Dr. Artour Rakhimov experienced this by having his urine turn black or dark brown for 2 days. Some people get blisters with pus, some people vomit bile and their hair might temporarily fall out, but it regrows. People that were smokers for years can notice that their mucus becomes a dark colour. For 2 to 3 days they can cough out this dark mucus. Breathing retraining techniques are useful to detoxify the whole body from aluminum as well as mercury and strontium with cadmium metals.

Any physical exercise that increases the heart rate and done with 100% nasal breathing is recommended. For the average person that is 150 to 140 beats per minute. According to Soviet doctors, the best exercise is running. This is because the body shakes and the leg muscles are the largest skeletal muscles in the body.

Dr. Artour has classes for Buteyko breathing practitioners. In the courses, you will learn how to start your own practice and how to properly teach certain lectures. The lectures can be organized by a practitioner locally (in the EU, the UK, Canada, the USA, New Zealand or Australia) or by Dr. Artour Rakhimov. If students achieve more than 30+ seconds for the morning control pause test, they can join the advanced course. This course helps students to gain 45-50 seconds and more for their MCP. Additionally, there are certain lessons for learning skills to address specific conditions.

How to Make Face Skin Glow::sweat, exercise, diet or breathwork - Interview with Dr. Artour Rakhimov Artour Rakhimov

In this video, Dr. Artour Rakhimov addresses the question, "How to have face skin glow?". This is a very popular question on Google search. There are natural techniques that help improve the glow of the skin. An effective method is sweating. It is very common for people to have acne on their face, but not on their foreheads. This is because people usually perspire with their foreheads and not with the other parts of their face. Sweating improves blood flow and removes inflammation to provide healthier skin. It is more effective to combine sweating and physical exercise.

Another method for getting glowing skin is from our consumption of specific energy sources. Humans mostly eat carbohydrates and glucose or they can consume fewer carbohydrates and more fats instead. This way ketones from fat are used as an energy source. It can take about 2 to 3 weeks to adapt for the body to adapt to ketones. A lot of people get cravings from this diet and they can get mood swings. This diet has a significant effect on the skin because of its effect on reducing inflammation. A study showed that those people that have ketones in their body have a lot less inflammation. All 14 markers of inflammation were much lower in comparison to a modern high carb diet. Even if a high carb diet consists of organic and raw food, you would still be having a lot more inflammation. This is because your diet's primary source of energy is from carbohydrates.

Ketones have another benefit of causing a vasodilator effect in the body. They are able to expand arteries and arterioles by relaxing the smooth muscles of the body. These smooth muscles are located around the arteries and arterioles. When the muscles are relaxed, blood flow and circulation are increased. In turn, ketonic or low carb diets are going to provide better blood flow and circulation for the skin. More information about the diet can be found online. Also, there are hundreds of videos available on YouTube. The videos include doctors, nutritionists and other experts. Thousands of patients have used the diet for diabetes and other health related problems as well.

Here is a NormalBreathing page that covers the topic of getting skin that glows naturally:

Another method used by Dr. Artour Rakhimov's students helped them with pimples, roughness on their skin, and having excess fat. This method relates to improving their body oxygen levels. Before Dr. Artour Rakhimov knew about a low carb diet and without his students engaging in intensive exercise, they were able to greatly improve their skin conditions. With better body oxygen levels students have their circulation improve. In contrast to this method, breathing more air causes less oxygen to be in the cells of the body. Rakhimov's students start to get great benefits from 30 + seconds on the control pause test. When they reach 40 and 50 seconds, inflammation gets eliminated. It gets reduced by having 35 seconds CP in the morning. Then students reach higher body oxygen results that give them significant improvements in having proper circulation. In comparison to the other methods that help for glowing skin, breathing retraining has the most significant benefits according to Dr. Artour Rakhimov. For example, students dramatically reduced the length of their sleep to about 4 hours and Dr. Buteyko reduced his sleep to a few hours daily. Breathing retraining is the central part of Dr. Artour Rakhimov's courses. It helps to have glowing skin, reduce inflammation and other abnormalities in the human body.
